Histories of Postwar Architecture (HPA) is a biannual open-access peer-reviewed Journal that aims to publish innovative and original papers on post-war architecture, with no geographical, methodological, historiographical or disciplinary restrictions.

HPA is a scientific journal recognized by ANVUR (Italian National Agency for Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes) for disciplinary area 10 (Antiquities, philology, literary studies, art history). Since 2018 it is rated “Classe A“ Journal for disciplinary area 08 (Civil engineering and architecture).

HPA Editorial Team launches a call for papers for issue 18 entitled Constructing Churches in Concrete: Ecclesiastical Architecture in and around Post-war Rome edited by Giulia Boller, Alberto Bologna, Tullia Iori, and Laurent Stalder. The Call for Papers for HPA Journal 18/2026 is organized in partnership with ETH Zürich, Sapienza Università di Roma and Tor Vergata Università degli Studi di Roma.
