Abstract

Andrea Emiliani’s Una politica dei beni culturali, which originally appeared in 1974, represents a sort of manifesto for the preservation of cultural heritage. Forty years later, the book was reprinted for the conference Tutela e valorizzazione dei beni culturali tra centro e periferia (Protection and valorization of cultural heritage in historical centers and peripheries), thus reaffirming both the importance of Emiliani’s methodology and the cultural relevance of his book.
